We toured one of Gaudi's masterpieces, a defining feature of the Passeig de Gracia area of Barcelona. Once ridiculed for its highly unusual design, this building is now a celebrated architectural landmark. The gorgeous, organic details of the interior were a site to behold. We then spent some quality time on its roof, sketching animated chimneys in the sun.

In this interactive hands-on workshop, we applied techniques such as painting, embroidery, scratching, burning, punching holes, deteriorating gestures and added materials like water, salt or tea to get one-of-a-kind effects on our own photos.

We then worked collaboratively to find commonalities across our works and curate a cohesive exhibition. This was a powerful tool to bring back to our high school students.
