The American School of Barcelona
ASB GATE was hosted by the art and design team at the American School of Barcelona, welcoming art teachers from 25 countries to one of Europe’s most vibrant and architecturally distinctive cities.
Set within Barcelona’s rich visual landscape, the experience included sketching and photo walks in historic neighbourhoods, encounters with street art, visits to Gaudí’s architecture, contemporary art spaces, and the Mediterranean seaside.
Workshops ranged from explorations of colour and pastels to generative AI and gelli printing, with studio sessions including Ikebana arrangements, visible mending, and experiments with art and code.
Beyond the studio, teachers bonded over shared meals, sunset conversations, and wandering the night market stalls.
